2015 SingaporeGP sparks more than 930K conversations on Twitter
There were two most talked about stars at this year’s Singapore Grand Prix last Sunday (Sep 20) – Germany’s Sebastian Vettel securing his fourth triumph and the mystery man who invaded the race track, who later got arrested post-race.
Synthesio’s listening platform reveals that about 5000 sports fans took to Twitter to state their opinions on the race. More than 930,000 conversations with the hashtag #SingaporeGP took place on Twitter from Sept 14 to 20, while the weekend alone generated 700,000 conversations. Below are some of the top (based on Synthesio Rank), most influencial, “Tweeters” supporting Vettel.
Some of the most talked about drivers, in the week leading upto the Singapore GP, across the online sites of TV, National and Regional News, Forums, Social Networks, Blogs, Micrblogs, and Video and Photo sharing, include:
- Vettel with 30,798 mentions
- Hamilton with 16,182 mentions
- Rosberg with 9,064 mentions
What I specifically found interesting is that the big boy of the sport might be Ferrari, but according to Synthesio’s Social Ranking Score (taking into account the overall net sentiment, volume of influence, and Synthesio Rank), the top five highly ranked teams include Sauber F1, Lotus F1, Red Bull, Ferrari and Sahara Force India.
