Today marks Day One of MuseumWeek 2026, and Ipsos Synthesio is proud to be its Official Partner.
Our role? To help measure, analyse, and amplify the cultural conversations happening across social media platforms globally.
From 1 to 7 June 2026, thousands of museums and cultural institutions worldwide will participate in this unique event. Organised with UNESCO support since 2016 and led by Culture for Causes Network (C4C), MuseumWeek brings together cultural institutions through a simple yet powerful format: 7 days, 7 themes, 7 hashtags.
This year marks ten years of UNESCO support, a milestone edition.
In a world of rapid technological acceleration and geopolitical uncertainty, museums stand out as essential anchors, spaces where knowledge is organised, narratives constructed, and societies reflect upon themselves. They transmit, interpret, and orient, providing reference points of meaning in a transforming world.
Now, artificial intelligence opens a new technological cycle.
MuseumWeek 2026 invites museums and their audiences to explore what role culture can play in shaping an AI-driven future.
As Official Partner, through this collaboration, Ipsos Synthesio will track global conversation across major social platforms, surface real-time insights on cultural engagement trends, and insights into how museum content connects with diverse audiences across more than 100 countries.
As Thierry Lalande, CEO of Ipsos Synthesio, has said: " This partnership! What a joy for us! Culture, Social & AI, together! Bridging the 'instant' of social media with the depth of vision and perspective offered by museums, understanding the place of culture in this new world of AI and social media. Go to museums and express what you feel and who you are on social!

Each day, a unique theme comes to life with a dedicated hashtag to spark global conversations and creative expression. When museums and other cultural organisations come together under shared hashtags, audiences get a showcase of curated digital stories from around the globe. The event regularly trends in specific countries and across the world during the week itself, with each time zone taking on the theme as the hours pass.
